We have been studying cultures and traditons in our reading and social studies classes. We will have a culmilating celebration Friday December 16th to celebrate different cultures and traditions from around the world. Students came home with a list of items to share with classmates. Some items include: wrapped apple to exchange (Japan) and stocking stuffers (U.S.A.). Please remember particiaption in sharing is optional~Thanks so much!
I am a wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. I enjoy trying new recipes in the kitchen, and completing crossword puzzles. When the weather is warm I enjoy relaxing outside in my backyard. When the weather is colder, I love to cozy up and read books! We are second grade leaders! I believe all children have the ability to learn and have academic success. I believe children are most successful when the environment is conducive for both caring & learning. That's why I LOVE first & TEACH second. I believe in providing academic structure which promotes individualization, rigor, and high quality lessons. Parental involvement is another key component for the success of our students...and I thank you for your partnership~ Hugs & Love, Mrs. Johnson
